This policy applies to all purchases made through the Blue River Chemicals e-commerce website and is governed by the laws of South Africa.
Final Sale Policy: No Returns, No Refunds, No Exchanges
Due to the sensitive nature of our products (sanitation and cleaning chemicals) and to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and inventory integrity, all sales are strictly final.

No returns will be accepted for any reason, including change of mind, incorrect ordering, or product suitability concerns.

No refunds will be issued once an order has been dispatched.

No exchanges will be offered for any product.
By completing your payment, you acknowledge and agree to this Final Sale Policy. Customers are encouraged to review their orders carefully before submitting them.
Payment and Order Dispatch

Payment Requirement: Full payment, including product and courier fees, is required upfront for all orders.

Order Processing: Orders will be processed and dispatched only once full payment has been received and verified by Blue River Chemicals.
Procedure for Transit Damage
While refunds are not offered, Blue River Chemicals is committed to ensuring that all products arrive in usable condition. Each item is thoroughly inspected and securely packaged prior to dispatch.
If your order arrives damaged due to transit (e.g., leakage, breakage, or other physical damage affecting usability), please follow the procedure below:

Report Within 5 Days: Notify Blue River Chemicals via email within five (5) calendar days of receiving your delivery. Reports submitted after this period will not be accepted.

Provide Evidence: Your email must include clear, high-quality photographs of:

The outer packaging showing any courier-related damage.

The damaged product(s) inside the original packaging.

The waybill or delivery slip showing the tracking number.

Resolution: Upon review and confirmation that the damage occurred in transit, Blue River Chemicals may, at its sole discretion, provide a replacement for the specific damaged item(s). This replacement is the only exception to our no-refund policy and does not constitute a right to a cash refund.
Product Use Disclaimer
WARNING: Nature and Risk of Products (CPA Section 58)
All products sold by Blue River Chemicals are industrial or commercial-grade sanitation and cleaning chemicals. These products, by their nature, may be hazardous, corrosive, or dangerous if not handled, stored, or used correctly.

By purchasing and accepting delivery of these goods, the Customer acknowledges, understands, and assumes the inherent risks associated with handling, storage, and application of chemicals.

The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all users of the product are adequately trained and informed of the safety procedures.

The Customer must strictly adhere to all instructions, warnings, and safety information provided on the product labels and the relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDS), which are available upon request and/or published on the website.
Exclusion of Liability for Misuse
Blue River Chemicals (Pty) Ltd., its directors, employees, and agents, will not be held liable for any harm, damage, injury, death, or loss (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from:

Misuse or improper application of the product, including use that is contrary to the instructions on the label or SDS.

Improper storage or disposal of the chemicals.

Failure to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Mixing the product with other chemicals or substances.
Statutory Product Liability (CPA Section 61)
While Blue River Chemicals seeks to limit liability where legally permissible, we acknowledge our non-excludable obligations under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

In terms of CPA Section 61, Blue River Chemicals (as a retailer/distributor) may be held liable for any harm caused by an unsafe or defective product, a product failure, or inadequate warning.

The limitations and exclusions in this policy do not purport to limit or exempt us from liability for any loss directly attributable to gross negligence or a defective or hazardous product itself as defined by the CPA.

Any claim arising under this section must be submitted to Blue River Chemicals immediately upon discovery of the harm.
Limitation of Warranty
All products are sold "as is." While we warrant that the product will conform to the basic description on the label, Blue River Chemicals makes no other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except for the implied warranty of quality stipulated by the CPA (Section 56). The customer assumes the entire risk as to the performance and suitability of the product.
